Today my four grandchildren invited me to iHop before church for breakfast. Each of them (ages 16,15,13,10) had written me a note thanking me for helping them with math homework this last year. What greater gift could ever be given to a grandmother?
I thought when I retired from teaching that my usefulness was over. The Lord has shown me I am still needed and this time I get to teach my own grandchildren. It helps them and it helps me feel useful again.
I thank the Lord for this season of my life. It is the best.
